  26. Well, I guess that this is a discussion about browser, not about the small
  27. server market. I can't see any reason why the programmers of non-Netscape
  28. browsers would be stupid enough not to support commands invented by NetScape
  29. (and accepted by WWW publishers) and thus allow NetScape to force people
  30. using a specific browser.

  32. Netscape's only advantage is that setting some standards allows them to
  33. develop their products faster. This isn't such a big advantage since the
  34. market doesn't allow any pace - design and publishing of www pages is
  35. expensive and consumes time. Even a small programmer team should be able to
  36. stand this competition. Especially if considering that Netscape currently
  37. isn't a well designed program (beeing powerful doesn't necessarily imply a
  38. good design): it is a big monolithic inflexible application. Modern software
  39. should be split into smaller parts and re-use existing components.
